Brian Lacey

When Brian Lacey arrived at Vibra Hospital of Boise, he was facing a complex respiratory recovery. Brian had been hospitalized for 12 days with hypercapnic respiratory failure, a serious condition in which the body has difficulty removing carbon dioxide while breathing. He required a tracheostomy and a ventilator to help him breathe, but severe weakness made it difficult for him to come off the ventilator safely.
